We had a GREAT time in this BEAUTIFUL home. The only thing we wish we would have done differently was reserve it longer! There's no doubt in my mind that we will be back to stay here.

Awesome cabin and great location. Highly recommend it if you need a little time away.
This house had more than enough to keep us busy, entertained, and happy. The pictures are exactly what you see in real life! The river was great, we floated using Luckys caddo river kayak and canoe rentals. They picked us all up from the house which was awesome. We definitely loved this place and will undoubtedly be staying again in the future!

Incredible property and great owners -
Let me first say that the pictures of the cabin are very accurate but don't do it justice. The cabin has a very nice living room and wonderful kitchen with plenty of seating either at the table or around the bar. The appliances (and everything else) are new and very good quality. The kitchen is well stocked with plates, bowls, silverware, pots/pans, a small food processor and numerous other kitchen tools. In addition, there is a gas grill on the upstairs deck and a charcoal grill/smoker downstairs. The master bedroom is downstairs in the main part of the cabin. It has a nice and comfortable king size bed. The bunk room is upstairs in the main cabin and has a total of 4 full size beds and 2 twins. The twins are the top bunks and the space is rather small, so they are better suited for kids, but would accommodate adults in a pinch. Across the deck are two additional bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a shared bath. The upstairs deck is wonderful. Great views of the river and surrounding area. Speakers that can play music from your phone or from the music channels available through DishTV. Downstairs has a large parking area and also a nice fire pit. There are a number of chairs that can be brought down from the deck. If you choose to stay indoors, there are TVs in each room with DishTV service. The living room TV is controlled with a universal remote that also controls the outdoor sound system. There is also a large TV on the deck. There is a Blu-ray player available and a Redbox and small video store in town. The little town of Glenwood is literally right around the corner. There is a grocery store and several small restaurants. I highly recommend Ari's Little Italy. The Fish Nest is also pretty decent and has a lunch buffet until 2pm. El Diamante has pretty good Mexican food. The cabin itself is in a little gated community with a few other cabins, a nice little pond and not much else. It is very quiet and feels safe and secure. There are canoe rentals nearby and a number of state parks and recreation areas are just a short drive away. We went fishing on Lake Ouachita with guide Dave Lindhag and limited out of striped bass. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching deer, a bald eagle, geese, numerous birds, squirrels and rabbits. The owners are also great. Always available to answer questions and just plain nice folks.

As with the other reviewers, it is hard to do proper justice in pictures for this beautiful cabin located adjacent to the Caddo River. We had a group of 12 adults stay for two nights and everyone was amazed at the workmanship of every detail of the cabin. The entire place is stilted about 15 or 20 feet above the ground, accessible by stairs (so this may not be the location for those who have trouble getting up and down stairs). Once you're on the deck, seating options are plenty, you have the choice of moving chairs around, bar stools that over look the river, or comfy seats around a fire pit to watch the big game on a large flat screen tv. There were more than enough amenities for those guests who wanted to stay at the cabin (surround sound music, flat screens TV's in almost every room, and a bag toss set.) If getting out and about is more of your thing, head less than 100 yards to the bank of the Caddo and watch canoes pass by or join in by floating on one of the many available inflatables from the Cabin. There is a really great bend in the river by the cabin that provides low class rapids which are really fun to go through on an tube! When it comes time to cook, the modern kitchen is a comfort and also a treat for anyone that appreciates the aesthetics of a good entertaining space. The whole cabin is laid out great in a dog trot style, so that guests who would like to rest can be isolated from anyone who might be staying up for a bit. The upstairs loft is great for kids or adults alike and the bedding is very comfortable. I couldn't stop admiring the woodwork throughout the cabin, the windows of the main room also offer a great view but blinds can be rolled down to provide shade and privacy if needed. All in all this location blew my expectations out of the water and I hope to stay here again sometime. It was the ultimate combination of entertainment value, seclusion, location, and price. I would highly recommend this rental. The owner was also very accommodating. They notified us that we could extend our stay if needed and the response time was immediate through email. The listing was very accurate, but I'd imagine any guest arriving here for the first time will be pleasantly surprised when they see the location in person and tour the place. I could seriously see the cabin being featured on an HGTV special! As far as attractions/restaurants nearby we didn't need to venture out much, but there is a close town with everything one would need.
